Several years ago, I knew a young boy who lived on my street. One day, a deranged middle-aged guy told the lad that the keys were stuck. He asked the kid a favor in that he reach into the man's pocket to retrieve his kid. The child did so willingly while the man watched with a blank poker face. He gave the boy a subtle gratitude before the youngster walked off. Anyway, to this day the child who did the favor is still disturbed by these memories. Nothing major happened, yet this incident I find still questionable. That is why I am asking for extra opinions. Do the readers consider this as child molestation? If not, what do the readers perceive of this particular scenario?

Tales of the functionally insane?

You've heard functional illiterates and functional drug addicts, but what about those people who, while able to hold down a job, drive a car, and dress themselves, are clearly crazy? I worked in retail for a while so I certainly met a few, like the lady who insisted she was under constant surveillance and showed my as proof a text message on her phone consisting of *P *P *P. Proof, she claimed, that they were watching her use the bathroom. Or the guy that would bring items to the counter and ask for a discount (this was at Radio Shack). Not receiving one, would turn and walk out of the store without a word. Twice! Without interacting with them you might never realize they're nut. BUT I also think, you might want to look at a 'dual-sport' but one that is more street oriented. I get attacked for various reasons related to my beliefs. Questions about anorexia?

I know somebody whom is 5,6, 16 years old, and weighs 90 pounds. She previously weighed 86 pounds last year. If you saw her, you would probably think rail or skeleton. I am confused about her condition because there is a rumor that she has a thyroid disorder. She does not have a swollen thyroid gland, or displays nervousness. Her neck is rather a sickening tube with arteries dangling. She also never eats anything. All of her food is cut-calories, low-fat, diet, vegetarian, little salads (etc.) and she is a health freak. In gym cl while everybody is bench pressing, doing push-ups, using dumbbells, she is using the cardio bike secretly on the weight burner mode and rigorously working out for the whole cl. Another time, she tore a ligament in her ankle and was left on crutches for over a year. She also displays a body a too small for her head (decreased bone density) and is a raging perfectionist. Is the rumor about hyperthyroidism false, or is she really anorexic?

Well, I'm 15 and I want some odd piercings and I don't want anything on the face. I've look at a really awesome website that had every type of piercing available. I've decided on an upper fraenum (its a piercing in your mouth where that little flap of skin is inside the top lip) a couple of years ago. When I was little I thought you weren't supposed to have that, so I tried cutting it off and then I saw a lady on TV with one, so I figured it'd be a memoir of that time when I was like 10. That's a rather crazy rationalization for wanting to kill cats. What about the birds of prey that also kill them? Nature has decreed that animals of prey will kill smaller animals, and cats are, by nature, animals of prey. Those people who want to kill cats because they kill birds are going to have a hard time hunting down all the other animals and birds of prey to kill.

What were these birds doing high overhead circling as a group?

Sometimes hawks and other birds of prey will catch the same wind currents and circle in them to gain altitude and relax a bit. I am not sure about the synchronized turns, but it may have just been a safety issue. If one bird turns the wrong way, it would prob. have been slammed into causeing an air collision. Another option could be that this group of birdshave interesting mating rituals. For example, penger pigeons flew in large groups and when their wings touched in the air it would stimulate the mating rituals/behaviors. I am not sure what other kinds of birds do this, but it could be possible.

Are cops allowed to lie when they're interrogating suspects?

I was called to the police department the other day without being given a reason why. As soon as I showed up I was treated like a criminal. Apparently one of my neighbor's got his beer stolen and he told the cops it was me (this neighbor doesn't like me for some reason). So the investigator (major league jerk) starts informing ME what I did that night, and it convoluted into the most laughably implausible story I had heard in my life. "Your dad's asleep, YOU sneak out, and you have your friend's phone..." Evidently I had somehow gotten a hold of my friend Erik's phone (despite that he's three hours out of town) and used it to text other people about stealing his beer, signed my own name, then personally stole his beer. Of course I didn't nod and smile the whole time, I told him this was all false and I got called a y smart. He talked down to me, then asked me random things like whether I had a girlfriend, then took my prints and said he'd compare them later that day. But I haven't gotten any word back. I really doubt they compared those prints, because I don't think anyone believes that story. I don't know what action I should take at this point because I don't know whether the investigator's behavior was technically legal or not. Advice?

I had a brief period of unemployment and re-hired at new job where they are processing the court ordered amount. I wondered if anyone knew, in state of Nebraska, if the payee, has the right to know my new place of employment. the Child Support NE websites cater to the recipients of child support and payors are treated like criminals. I can't get straight answers from website or state officials. they want you to call during business hours, a specific case worker, who doesn't even know the FAQ's on their own website. I've told written the child support staff I can't call to discuss during busines hours as new job means training and very little privacy for such personal matters. But they answer every emails with the same auto reply "you need to call blah, blah, blah" and when I can even call, my case worker is out, and they want me to call back when convenient for THEM. It's all very demeaning and nearly impossible for a payor of child support (and diligent payor) to get respect.

Unexplained Knee Pain That My Doctors Cant Figure Out?

I'm 18 years old, and I am having sever pain in both knees. I have Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have taken Prednisone,Methotrexate,Plaquinil, Arava,and Naproxen..AND NOTHING IS HELPING! I have had x-rays and MRI's and both have came back normal.I cant stand no longer than 15 minutes without being in horrible pain. Whenever I stand my knees, ankles, and feet swell. My feet also turn bloody red and feel like they are on fire. When this happens my knees are always warm to the touch and my blood pressure rises. This has been going on for a year now and it's affecting my life greatly. I went to a Orthopedic and he basically said nothing is wrong with me in his eyes, that left me walking out of his office in tears because I know something is. My Rheumatologist doesn't know what to do with me anymore, he is wanting to send me to St Louis. But I'm wandering what could they do different. I am seeking any advice that might hep me.

Would you complain if the garbage people where so loud?

I live in a townhouse development in a very rural quiet area. During the day its very quiet so I always leave my 8 month old sons window open while he naps. The way the garbage situation is set up is, there is an outside closet right outside the door with a garbage can and all the garbage is put there.(The same in all the townhouses) Mondays and Fridays the garbage is taken out by a few teenagers in a truck who drive through and take out all the garbage. Today the girl went to take out the garbage and as yelling(pretty loud) "Ewww this is so nasty theres a bunch of nasty diapers in here" " This **** stinks" etc etc etc.. Before leaving she slammed the door the close the outside closet. While doing all of this my son woke up screaming from his nap, from her being so loud and obnoxious. I mean obviously diapers stink what do you expect when your a garbage person? lol Would you complain to the office about this situation? The office is in charge of these people.

Stress can definitely cause irregulations with your period as well as putting stress on the baby if you were pregnant. They say it can cause miscarriage but in my opinion, not a whole lot. Other factors play such a larger role in miscarriages. Stress just isn't good for the baby. I have had the brown blood numerous times and I had a period like a week later. Brown just means its old blood. Also, when you really want to be pregnant it sends a signal to your brain which will actually give you pregnancy symptoms...weird, huh? That was a bummer for me also because I've been ttc for about 6-7 months. Don't be worried, nothing sounds that bad. good luck.

I know I have it made...my life is great - a good job, a great husband, a beautiful house, two cute cats. However, my anxiety about my health is taking over my life. My doctor wants me to visit a cardiologist because of a rapid heartbeat, especially after eating. I woke up with an irritated and bright red eye (not pink eye, though)...possibly from my contacts and wearing them too long. I have been dealing with a cold for about 2 weeks...it just won't go away, and now I have a sore throat to go along with it. I also have a mole under my arm that has been changing a bit...although I chalk it up to being in my armpit and getting larger from friction (excellent visual, I know). I am totally wrapped up in my anxiety about this all that I can hardly get out of my pj's. Can someone please give me a reality check? I don't think it is specifically mexican people that are 'stealing' american jobs. You kind of answered your own question when you touched on cheap wages. The problem lies with the american government. There needs to be incentives for these big companies to employ home labor as opposed to outsourcing for cheap labor. The average american cannot survive on the wages offered to mexicans, who cost of living is a lot cheaper than those living in america. Even here in Canada we have plenty of jobs that are outsourced, and some would claim that it's because canadians won't work these jobs. No it's not the jobs, it's the wages attached to the jobs. Our cost of living is more expensive. Why would an employer pay $10-15/hr when that same job could be had for as much as half that? Even with outsourcing costs, it's cheaper for the employer to run his business. So the anger lies not with the people, but with the situation.

Could my son have mrsa?

ok well my son has had lumps in his lyphmoids now for 2 months. they are not growing or anything they are just there. he seen two docs about it and was put on antibiotics and his blood work showed he was fighting a viral and a bacterial virus at the same time and both set of lymphnoids were reactive. now he has these bumps that are on several parts of his body that i though were ant bites but are not going away. every night they get blotchy and he gets really itchy. i have to give him benedryl to sooth him. i hate giving him benedryl because it makes him really tired. i was reading on a website that mrsa looks like little boils but no where did it mention them being itchy. does anyone know what this could be?

In the USA politicians are allowed to own and trade shares and in fact most of the Bush administration are corporate directors. In other (western) nations this is not allowed as it is an obvious "conflict of interests". Can't people see these guys have just played (influenced) the market for their own gain? When they refuse the first bailout, the sharemarket crashes enabling the politicians and their fat-cat cohorts to move in and clean up all the stocks they can at bargain prices which in turn drives the market up again contrary to general feeling. This alone should have raised suspicions. Then when they agree to the bailout confidence returns to the market driving stocks further up again and these dirty rats (politicians) have made themselves millions in a couple of days. Even before the first bail-out talks myself and a few friends predicted this scenario would progress exactly as it has and we managed to do quite well for ourselves too. But how can those congressmen and senators be allowed to get away with this?

Home schoolers: What made you decide to school your children?

My kids went to public school through 9th grade and 7th grade respectively. We just began home-schooling this year and, while it's more exhausting for me (I work nights and teach in the morning) it's so much more rewarding. Instead of the old "How was school? What'd you learn?" "Nothing" conversations, we have really in depth conversations about stuff we're all interested in and we all learn. But back to the question, we decided to home-school this year due to the fact that we had to move (due to finances there was no other option) into one of the, if not the, worst school districts in the state. While Magnet schools are offered the move was so sudden and soon that was not an option. With a change of job and a suggestion from a friend of mine, we began to look into home-school. We are all quite a lot happier though my youngest daughter still wishes to attend Public Magnet School next year, which is just proof that people are different.

I am a TKD guy learning Muay Thai.. I am 6ft, and my sparring partner in my MT cl is 6 4.. and he dropped an ax kick on top of my head (like he was saying .. "i can kick too") I would say it is a bad kick to use with any frequency (please dont rely on it.. people will just kick your grounded leg out from under you) but it is more of a "show mw something kick"... and even though it is against the "rules" it leaves all kinds of areas exposed for far too long.... even a common street thug could talckle you underneathe it... if you really want to apply the practicle application of TKD (and yes it is a good style.... to all you ignorant haters)... join a Muay Thia gym.... let it fly and you will find out really quick... what can work... and what has very little chance of working.... good luck

I had a transfusion yesterday and they had to count my "antibodies" first...what exactly does that mean?

This was my 6th transfusion in less than 6 months (very anemic due to hepc treatment). They always say that with my type/cross they have to also count my "antibodies" in my blood. They just keep telling me it's something in my blood and that every time I get a transfusion, I probably get more antibodies. They say that's why it takes nearly 3 hours to type/cross me (which is bull and it sucks!). Does anyone know (in layman's terms please) what this means? Thanks in advance!

My husband and I got into a bad argument after we drop off her daughter to his ex wife,s apartment. He always argues with me after we drop her off. He didn't pick up the phone, I called again around 1200am midnight didn't pick up and my last call was at 1230am midnightand I told him: if you don't came home to sleep and you don't call me back then we are done because I won't be able to trust you. My husband never called me back, instead I found out the next day that he called his ex-wife couple of times and talk to her for 1 or 4 minutes. Then, his ex-wife called him around 1am and they talked for 10 min.Do you think they met up? My husband spend the night at the hotel. It's hard to believe that they din't meet up. Why didn't he went to his family instead to spend the night? My husband came home around 1130am the next day, and ask him where he's been? he said he spend the night at the hotel. So I told him, I'm done with this relationship, you knew that if you didn't came home to sleep this marriage was going to be over and you still did it. I told him to pick his stuff and leave the apt. He seem so tired, like he didn't get no sleep at all. He went and took a shower instead and told me that he doesn't want to leave that he wants to work things out. I feel so played by him because I just find out this morning about the calls he made to his ex-wife and I'm back with him, we even went to eat lunch, watch a movie and made love. How sick!!!! What if he had with his ex-wife? I would never know. His explanation for the late called was that he was talking to his daughter about plans. I don't believe that! I'm lost I feel like the marriage is over. One more thing I want to add, We just move in to his hometown where he met his ex-wife and where his parents live. He grew up here in this city. I feel like I'm an extra piece in the puzzle. I feel unloved. I feel that my husband's priorities are his daughter not the marriage.

When is the right time to have a baby?

I am 23. My boyfriend of (currently) 6 years is 27. In the last year I have become more hormonal and want to plan for a baby. I know he is not ready yet, with us renovating a house and is scared too. So am I!I have always said I would wait till I am 25, which is another 2 years, But I feel like my body is telling me its time... I replaced the gasket and solenoid pak, changed the trans fluid and trans filter w/gasket. When i get it up to where its time to shift gears the van feels like its just pressing on the break and it stops (engine still runs). Dell XPS M1530 - Windows 7 64 bit memory?

I have a Dell XPS with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit already installed. I also have 4 GB of RAM. I just found out my laptop is able to run Windows 7 64 bit and I am able to get Win 7 X64 through a system run by my college and Microsoft. I would like to add two sticks of 4 GB RAM to my XPS but I am confused as to much RAM my laptop can support. I have read that Win 7 X64 can support 8 GB of RAM (and much more) but I have also read that the XPS M1530 can only support up to 4 GB of RAM due to hardware constraints. Can someone please clarify this?

I want to have this baby, but I want to do the most natural way possible. I took castor oil with my first baby, but I was dilated already to a one. I am not dilated or anything yet. I want to get a kick start on having this baby. Castor oil, yes, did work the first time, but I hear it only works if you are dilated, then I heard from someone who heard from her doctor that castor oil does thin the cervix also. Since, I am not dilated, I do not want to take the castor oil, and **** all day and be in pain from having to many bowel movements. Some girls keep growing until age 24, and possibly older, but I don't know your body, and no one else does. It's possible. You're still very young, your may be big now, but after you get older, have a kid or two, and they will get smaller. Don't take that as, have kids now to shrink them! :) That's not a good idea. Alli weight loss pills and missed period?

This is an odd questions, but Im curious if anyone else has experienced this.... I started taking the Alli weight loss pills about two weeks ago. I have not had my period this month (I'd say Im about a week late now) and am a little concerned. I took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. I actually prefer the Mister Softee jingle to the real ice cream truck jingle. The real jingle has always gotten on my nerves. It's annoying, never seems to reel in customers and gets played at all odd hours. There was a point that I was so used to the Mister Softee jingle that I'd forgotten what the real version sounded like. In the game, it wasn't actually ice cream being sold so if I heard the jingle in real life, I probably wouldn't go to it, but I'd listen to it as long as I could.

My mom calls the police on anyone who comes over to hang out with me she says her reasoning is that she is calling the police to remove my friend from her house, she does it because she refuses to let me have any friends, I secretly have friends that she doesn't know about though who don't know her because she acts horrible as I said above as an example of how she acts . When I 'm walking around the house she says all the time that I have no friends and whenever she starts bulling me if I say anything back she says stuff like "This is why you have no friends" Everyone who she knows, mostly men act very rude and perverted to me and she just lets them say nasty things about me that aren't true and walk on me, and she acts as though she enjoys it. And if she's with me when we go out in public she always tries to lie and embarr me in public and start arguments in public. She's also just really nosy and argumentative all the time. She is so gross because she never bathes , and she always stinks really bad!

How can I cope with these problems?

I am 19 years old and am at university in London. I have been told by a counsellor when I was 18 years old that my mum has emotionally and mentally abused me as she would control what I wore and how I spent my money. She had a really bad temper and if she was in a bad mood she would take it out on me rather than my brother who is 20 years old. My parents are divorced and my dad pleaded with me to take my offer of university as he thought it would be an escape from her being nasty to me and dominating my life. But while I have been here I have given her �400 and I have never seen any of it again, she has run up debts on her credit card and took out a loan of �14000 when I was 8 years old and I was not aware of this until I was 16. She manages to twist her money problems around on me and makes me feel like I am responsible for it. I gave her the �400 to help her with her debts but she has done nothing with it. When i speak to her on the phone she never asks how university is going because she resents me for coming to london because she is no longer able to control me. She piles her problems onto me about money, asking me for more and saying she has nothing in her life. She recently said in a spiteful way that I have everything to look forward to and she has nothing, as if she is jealous that I am 19 and have my whole life ahead of me. She continuously moans about my brother and his girlfriend to me and they havent done anything wrong, she will moan about small things like petrol and work and she has been to see a debt counsellor after I begged her to try and sort out her money problems. She has told me all about her problems but she never speaks to my brother even though he lives in the same house as her! He knows nothing about any of it and she keeps piling her problems onto me, making me feel guilty for being at university. She takes no interest whatsoever in my life here and when I go home she turns back into the dominating mother she has been for so long. She told me at Xmas that she wanted this particular present and I bought it for her and something else as a surprise, a chocolate plaque with a xmas message on it and she looked at it all and said she always gets rubbish presents and she ruined the day as she does every year by moaning about how she never has any money. I literally cannot cope with her pressurising me for money and I feel bad if i say that I cant give her anymore money because I need it to live on. I have got myself into debt by giving her money because she is demanding some every few weeks. My brother and her argue everyday and she says to me that she worries about him and she never mentions that she worries about me as well. I literally cannot cope with it all, its too much pressure and I dont want to go home for summer, I would rather stay down here away from it all. University was supposed to be my escape from her and her dominating ways but it seems to have got worse especially where money is concerned. Can anyone please advise me? I am literally depressed by it all and keep crying about it and my friends are worried that I am going to have a breakdown eventually. Please help!

So, instead of the obvious solution, help me think of something else. He has literally eaten all of them and then proceeds to throw them back up the next morning on the bedroom carpet. Punishing him doesn't seem to work, he just keeps doing it. I was thinking of putting chile powder all over one and leaving it out as bait. Maybe it would burn so much that he wouldn't want to do it. In my opinion macs are much better. Although there are some viruses that a mac can obtain, it is very rare. People also lie all the time saying you can't update your mac, which is a straight up lie. Also the fact that people claim macs cost more... WRONG, in the long run you DO NOT need to pay for things like virus protection by the month. I just ordered myself a new mac book pro the other day and should be getting it tomorrow, and am proudly typing from a mac right now!

It clearly is a software problem. Did you recently install a program that would conflict with a web browser? That is a tricky situation. It may have been a windows update? My suggestions is installing Firefox and IE or any browser for that matter. But I would use the system restore feature to revert your computer back before this happened.

I am very insightful, (my friends and mother say so too), and I feel like everyone has a purpose on the earth that they have to discover and fulfill during this life just like the other indigo children are saying. Two months ago I weight 323 and for the past week I've been weighing 293 everymorning. Have I hit a plateau? I'm eating 2 cups of nonfat yogurt, 1 cup frosted mini wheats, 1 whole fruit (choice of apple, pear, orange), and 6 weight ounces of vegetable (choice of celery, carrot, tomato, lettuce, broccoli) each day, only drinking water (sometimes I add those crystal light packs to my water bottle, but I limit those to 2 per day), divided into 5 small "snacks." And thats all, do I need to amp something up or cut back on something? I'm also a dog groomer for a living, so I get excercise from that and I also walk 1/2 mile each evening before bed. What do I need to do so I can keep losing weight, I feel like I'm stuck!

im entering my freshmen year of college this fall. i have been struggling with my weight since my frosh year of high school/: i've been dropping from 175 to 169 but later on going back up. i'm 5'7 and a half:P i was active my whole high sch career but now i dont have any coaches to scream at me so training by myself is hard and unmotivational for me! i'll be moving to tucson az and i want to know if i have a higher chance of losing weight with all the heat n what not? i know i know... eat less n move more! im eating less everyday but sometime i slip but thats typical! i drink h2o usually a liter a day as for exercise... still working on it...

I jst delivered baby girl 4 days ago and now she is having a fever of 38 deg. what causes for her fever?

If an infant has a fever get her to the Hospital. that happened to me too. My baby was 6 weeks though. The Doctor told me that young babies have no reason to run a fever so it is something wrong. My baby ended up having severe kidney problems and had almost 3 years of treatment. I am not trying to scare you but you need to get your baby checked out by a dr.
