Did I Do The Right Thing!!??

My 15 year old sis accidentally sent me a text that was intended to go to one of her friends. In the text she described how our family "makes her sick" because we question her about her "friend guys". Then so on in the text she LIES and states that she was so mad at me for being in her business that she ran up and punched ME in the face! WTF!!! Then she ends the text with "Im so sick of these hoez questioning me!" I umed that she was referring to my mother as the "" so I automatically to the text to my mom! She went to my grandmother's home where my little sister was. My mom went BIZERK!!! LOL!! She made my sister pack up all of her stuff and come home with us as punishment..plus she's restricted from hanging out with friends for a while! I dont know if I did the right thing? I feel good that I did it..but I feel sorry for my mom that she had to read that crap! Am I like...a snitch or something? Would you have done what I did? I mean...it is technically a lessoned learned 4 her
