Creationists are often viewed as being scientifically ignorant....?
because some don't seem to understand the process of evolution. By asking things like, "Why do apes still exist?" or saying some other comment based on a Lamarckian idea of evolution. This often results in much criticism and derision. But how many people who grew up going to public school and believing Darwin was right about everything, have the same misconceptions about how evolution works? It seems like just because someone claims they believe in evolution, doesn't make them inherently more educated. It just means they dodge the bullet of ridicule since they tow the standard line. Don't you think this prejudice is injurious to constructive discussion?
