Could my son have mrsa?

ok well my son has had lumps in his lyphmoids now for 2 months. they are not growing or anything they are just there. he seen two docs about it and was put on antibiotics and his blood work showed he was fighting a viral and a bacterial virus at the same time and both set of lymphnoids were reactive. now he has these bumps that are on several parts of his body that i though were ant bites but are not going away. every night they get blotchy and he gets really itchy. i have to give him benedryl to sooth him. i hate giving him benedryl because it makes him really tired. i was reading on a website that mrsa looks like little boils but no where did it mention them being itchy. does anyone know what this could be?
