Why do potential GOP voters prefer "No One" over the current possible candidates?

They are waiting for the tea party to tell them what to do. If it weren't so sad it would be comical. Look at the list of candidates. No one person wants to step up to the plate because they know that their head will be on the chopping block. Over everyone on the list if I were forced to vote republican, which I am not, then I would choose Mitt Romney. He appears to have some intelligence.
