How do I file an answers to an unlawful-detainer complaint?

I paid 75 bucks of this paralegal to fill out an answer form which is FREE on the internet and took it into the court. They said that My "answer" was incomplete..... What else do I need?? I have a proof of service form and and answer form filled out now what??? PLEASE HELP TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO FILE!!!
